ACED: Ace Digital Launches First Full Bitcoin Node
Ace Digital now operates a full Bitcoin node from Norway.
As the first Bitcoin company to list directly on Euronext, and with activities today spanning Bitcoin treasury, fund management, advisory and venture investments, Ace Digital considers direct interaction with Bitcoin's core infrastructure a natural extension of its operating model.
A full Bitcoin node maintains an independent and complete copy of the blockchain and validates every block and transaction against Bitcoin's consensus rules, without reliance on any third party. For Ace Digital, this provides independent verification of the network on which the Company's principal asset is held, a direct on-chain data source for its fund and treasury analytics, and the technical foundation for infrastructure the Company may develop across its business areas.
Operating a node is distinct from custody. Ace Digital's Bitcoin holdings remain securely held with professional third-party custodians. The decision to run a node is an infrastructure, verification and knowledge decision, not a custody arrangement.
Bitcoin's security rests on tens of thousands of independently operated nodes worldwide that enforce the network's rules without any central authority. Ace Digital regards the operation of a node as sound practice for any company or institution holding Bitcoin, particularly given that the cost of doing so is lower than that of a mobile phone.
This is the Company's first node. Additional nodes in other jurisdictions are under consideration as part of Ace Digital's long-term infrastructure strategy.
