Nimbus Group showcases the Swedish Armed Forces’ MSMB200 workboat and participates in roundtable discussions during Almedalen week in Visby
Nimbus Group AB (publ) and Svensk Konstruktionstjänst AB (Svekon) are showcasing the Swedish Armed Forces’ new MSMB200 workboat during Almedalen Week in Visby. Throughout the week, the companies will also participate in roundtable discussions on how Swedish industry can help meet the growing demands of defence and national preparedness.
Nimbus Group and Svekon have jointly developed the MSMB200 and secured an initial order under the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration's (FMV) procurement of the MSMB200 military workboat. During Almedalen Week, we will be present in Visby to showcase the vessel and engage with representatives from government agencies, defence organisations, industry and other stakeholders.
In addition to displaying the vessel, Nimbus Group and Svekon will participate in roundtable discussions on industry's ability to support Sweden’s expanding defence investments. Topics include production and delivery capacity, innovation, supply chain resilience, and how industrial companies can contribute to the accelerated strengthening of Sweden’s national defence capabilities. The discussions will include representatives from the Swedish Parliament, government agencies, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Armed Forces.

MSMB200 on Display
The MSMB200 will be on display in the harbour of Visby during Almedalen Week, and we welcome all interested visitors to take a closer look at the vessel.
The MSMB200 has been developed to meet the Swedish Armed Forces’ requirements for a fast, robust and modern platform for maritime operations. Serial deliveries to FMV are scheduled to commence in 2027 in accordance with the previously communicated call-off agreement.
