Scandinavian Medical Solutions strengthens long-standing partnership in Central Asia with new million-kroner sale

2026-08-11 16:00:00

Scandinavian Medical Solutions has sold a GE Signa Artist 1.5T MRI scanner to one of its key partners in Central Asia.

The deal is the latest in a long series of sales to the same customer, with whom Scandinavian Medical Solutions has maintained a close partnership for several years, and which has continuously expanded its scanning capacity through purchases from the company.

The repeat sale to the same customer reflects the trust key partners place in SMS' ability to deliver operational and reliable equipment across recurring transactions. GE's Signa Artist platform is a versatile 1.5T system known for its patient-friendly design and broad clinical applicability. This makes the system a popular choice for hospitals and clinics that require stable scanning capacity across multiple departments.

Demand for accessible 1.5T systems such as the Signa Artist reflects a broader trend in the region, where investment in diagnostic imaging is increasing as healthcare infrastructure and clinical capacity are expanded. The combination of price, operational reliability, and broad clinical applicability makes the 1.5T segment a central component of many hospitals' and clinics' overall scanning capacity.

For Scandinavian Medical Solutions, the deal underscores the importance of long-term customer relationships in Central Asia, where repeat business with existing customers constitutes a central element of the company's activities in the region. The sale is in line with SMS' strategy of both maintaining and expanding cooperation with existing customers as well as establishing new relationships in the market.

The sale is announced in accordance with the company's communication policy, and the order falls within the range of DKK 2.0-3.5 million. Following the announcement of three orders in August, Scandinavian Medical Solutions has now announced orders totaling DKK 38-61 million in the current financial year.
