The project comprises a new pipeline that will be built on both the pressure and suction sides to a future pumping station at the waterworks. Water, wastewater and rainwater pipes will also be laid together along parts of the pipeline. The contract also includes construction of valve chambers and pipe supports.

Ringsjö water treatment plant was commissioned in 1963 and takes in on average around 1,400 liters of raw water per second, which is purified before it is distributed to households and businesses. The new raw water pipelines will help to create better redundancy in the entire Sydvatten system.
 

"These pipelines are an important part of Sydvatten's work to create redundancy for Ringsjö water treatment plant and in the future be able to lead Bolmen water further down to the Vomb water treatment plant," says Fredrik Olsson, Project Manager at Sydvatten.

The project is a traditional contract. Work will start in March 2026 and is expected to be completed around the end of 2027.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2026.
