SPINNOVA PLC, PRESS RELEASE, 20 JANUARY 2026 AT 9 A.M. UCT+2
Techwear brand INSIDER signs Letter of Intent to secure future access to SPINNOVA® fibre
Brazilian techwear brand teams up with Spinnova to secure future fibre volumes and expand the use of lower-impact materials in functional apparel.
The global fashion industry has been moving steadily toward materials with lower environmental impact, driven by consumers and brands seeking performance with responsibility. In recent years, next-generation cellulosic fibres and technological textiles have gained momentum, opening new paths to reduce reliance on virgin cotton and fossil-fuel-based synthetics. Against this backdrop, INSIDER, Brazil’s leading techwear and sustainable fashion brand, signs a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) to secure access to future volumes of SPINNOVA® fibre.
Founded in São Paulo, INSIDER is a reference in technological and sustainable fashion, known for comfortable garments with sweat absorption, anti-odour performance, and thermal regulation that can be worn multiple times, reinforcing the slogan “Smart wear, better living”. This is achieved through proprietary technologies and more sustainable, high-performance fabrics like modal, lyocell, and polyamide, which outperform traditional cotton or polyester.
With this LOI, INSIDER becomes the first brand in Latin America to partner with Spinnova, reinforcing the brands positioning as a regional leader in sustainability, while expanding its materials innovation roadmap. Additionally, INSIDER is gaining a strategic path to integrate SPINNOVA® fibre into future collections that combine high performance with lower environmental impact.
The LOI outlines an important step in Spinnova’s ambitions to create an ecosystem (consortium) to enable the availability of SPINNOVA® fibre in the textile materials market. For INSIDER, the agreement strengthens the brand’s long-term commitment to technology, comfort, and sustainability applied to everyday essentials.
“We’re pleased to partner with INSIDER; a brand that’s redefining fashion by combining style with responsibility. This collaboration opens new opportunities for us to bring SPINNOVA® fibres into functional and technological clothing, supporting our shared vision for a more sustainable textile industry and delivering innovative solutions to consumers", says Pedro Brito, the Senior Commercial Manager at Spinnova.
“Our garments are technological and designed to meet our customers’ needs – featuring quick-drying performance, sweat absorption, and temperature regulation – all with the lowest possible environmental impact. Being the first brand in Latin America to sign this agreement with Spinnova shows how committed we are to leading sustainable textile innovation. This partnership strengthens our mission to keep advancing materials and bring new sustainable solutions to everyday techwear”, says Yuri Gricheno, Co-founder of INSIDER.

Spinnova – The textile material innovation
Spinnova technology transforms the way textiles are manufactured globally. Based in Finland, Spinnova has developed breakthrough patented technology for making textile fibre out of wood pulp or waste, such as leather, textile, or agricultural cropping waste, without harmful chemicals or dissolving.
Spinnova technology creates no side streams in the fibre production process, and the SPINNOVA® fibre has minimal CO2 emissions and water use, as well as being biodegradable and recyclable. Spinnova technology uses a mechanical process which gives the fibre the look and feel of a natural cellulosic fibre such as cotton.
Spinnova’s shares (SPINN) are listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market Finland.
