[OSLO, NORWAY] - Today, the USDM DeFi Coalition announced its official pilot
program launch, bringing together Plomin Legacy Fund, Norwegian Block Exchange
(NBX), Fluid Lending & Borrowing Protocol, and Wave Financial in a joint effort
to strengthen Cardano's decentralized finance ecosystem. The Coalition is making
a direct investment into the Cardano dapp community by supplying USDM liquidity
on the Fluid protocol, with the goal of improving market depth, enabling higher
leverage efficiency, and making rates more favorable for end users.

This initiative is designed to signal a clear, coordinated commitment to
expanding the utility of USDM across Cardano DeFi, positioning USDM as
productive, low-friction capital for DeFi strategies and real-world-asset (RWA)
use cases, and as a reliable unit of account for value transfer within the
network.

"Liquidity is the difference between 'available' and 'usable,'" said Stig
Kjos-Mathisen of NBX. "By deploying USDM together, publicly and intentionally,
we're making Cardano DeFi more efficient: better borrowing conditions, deeper
markets, and more real activity that developers and users can build around."

As part of the Coalition's launch, members are deploying USDM into Fluid lending
markets to strengthen liquidity conditions across Cardano DeFi. By increasing
the available stablecoin depth on Fluid, including participation connected to
newly launched markets, this initiative is intended to improve borrowing
dynamics for users, support healthier utilization, and make USDM more
leverageable as productive capital inside DeFi strategies.

To drive real usage and measurable on-chain activity, Fluid will also offer
rewards for users who borrow through the protocol during the initiative. The
Coalition will pair these incentives with clear, plain-English communications so
users understand how the rewards work and what qualifies, with the broader goal
of encouraging sustained participation rather than short-lived spikes.

Alongside liquidity deployment, the Coalition will coordinate an education and
activation campaign that helps users follow simple, repeatable Cardano DeFi
workflows, starting with straightforward paths like minting USDM and putting it
to work on Fluid. Messaging will also highlight practical strategies that
connect USDM to broader on-chain activity, including real-world-asset themed
flows, to reinforce USDM's role as a reliable base layer for liquidity and value
transfer across the ecosystem.
